Everybody does it (for what I understand it started with Gabz external link , I found it on Robb Knight external link ’s socials), so… here’s what I’m using at the moment (but I don’t change very often):

  • Mail Client: Mailmate on MacOS, Outlook on iOS
  • Mail Server: GMail
  • Notes: Obsidian, Apple Notes
  • Todo: Due, Apple Reminders… periodically I try Things
  • iPhone camera app: the default app
  • Photo Management: Apple Photos
  • Calendar: Fantastical
  • Contacts: Apple Contacts, Cardhop to have a nice widget for birthdays
  • Weather: Carrot, Apple Weather, IRM (the app of the Belgian Institut Royal Météorologique)
  • Cloud storage: iCloud Drive, Dropbox
  • RSS: NetNewsWire (and ReadKit for the feeds that NNW rejects) on MacOS, Fiery Feeds on iOS, all synched via Feedly
  • Browser: Safari in order to keep everything synched across devices; I would like to try Arc though
  • Chat: WhatsApp
  • Bookmarks: in theory Raindrop, more often Zotero
  • Read Later: Pocket because of the Kobo integration
  • Shopping List: mostly Apple Reminders, also AnyList on iOS
  • Music: Apple Music
  • Podcasts: Overcast
  • Password Management: ok with sharing information, but I think it’s safer if I don’t share this
  • Social Networks: Mastodon (sometimes actively), BlueSky (only lurking), Letterboxd (every day)
  • Maps: Google Maps
  • Text Editor: BBEdit
  • Reading: Kobo Libra 2
  • Launcher: Alfred
  • Search: DuckDuckGo
  • Automation and shortcuts: Hazel, Keyboard Maestro, BetterTouchTool, Stream Deck
  • Development: PyCharm
